WP vs Wix

The Better Builder: Major Points to consider

Two of the most prominent names with reputable accreditation for building a website are Wix and Wordpress. Here's a solid analysis of each apparatus with a focus these two important determining factors: Customizing & Editing, Pricing & Support

Customization & Editors

Wordpress is known for the endless customization that its users enjoy. Over five thousand free website templates and innumerable paid templates are available. However, the editing phase is awkward and tedious. The block-based editor abstracts the interface away from the page. The page isn't displayed entirely within the editor. The result is inconvenient switching from editor to published site to see the whole page.

Alternatively, Wix utilizes a drag-and-drop editor with a visual focus. The ability to move any element of the page by simply dragging the object to any location is seamless. Additionally, because the website stays within the editor interface, every change being made is seen as it happens. WP outnumbers Wix's eight hundred plus templates but that doesn't justify the aggravation of trying to edit WP templates.

Pricing & Support

The startup cost for WP ranges from free to about twp hundred dollars. This is a one-time startup fee that doesn't include the monthly cost of ten to forty dollars. That seems pretty steep considering that their community-based help forums lack a lot of much needed professional support.

Pricing for Wix's paid plans (there is a free plan with disheartening limitations) range from fourteen dollars monthly to forty-nine. The Wix support system would be worth paying an extra fee for, but it included in all plan choices.
